Recruitment

Formal Recruitment begins at the start of each fall semester. Women who sign up for recruitment will meet with members from each sorority chapter at Ball State for prespecified amounts of time over the course of five days. During this time, women going through recruitment can learn more about each sorority and explore where they feel the most comfortable.

There are currently 11 Panhellenic sororities on campus: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Chi Omega, Delta Zeta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Phi Mu, Pi Beta Phi, and Sigma Kappa. You can find more information about each sorority at the Panhellenic Council website.

Each sorority has its own colors, symbol, flower, and philanthropy. Theta's colors are black and gold, our symbol is the kite, our flower is the black and gold pansy, and our philanthropy is CASA. Every year we hold Smackdown, a mud volleyball tournament, to help raise money for CASA.

Formal recruitment is a great way to learn the ins and outs of Greek life at Ball State. It's a great way to meet people and start a "home" away from home!

For more information about formal recruitment, check out the Panhellenic website! Recruitment registration ends September 6 at midnight, so sign up now!
